A Hot Summer's Wedding Day on The Fonthill Estate With Jen & Andy
The last time we saw Andy and Jen, they were walking hand in hand through the stunning Arne Nature Reserve, in a different county to The Fonthill Estate wedding venue. Their love and laughter filled the air. As they had chosen one of our all-inclusive wedding photography packages we captured the essence of their relationship in their engagement photo shoot. Like many couples, they were a bit nervous about the camera. But, as we wandered through the stunning fields and coast, they began to relax. Their true selves shone through. They were beaming with happiness at the end of the shoot. It was clear they had enjoyed the experience. On their special day, it was a pleasure to be at their wedding. We captured the magic of their love story as it unfolded at the beautiful Fonthill Estate wedding venue.

Bridal Preparation Venue In Wiltshire
As the sun rose over the estate, the excitement of the wedding morning began to unfold at the charming Bird & Carter on the Fonthill Estate. A beautifully restored old post office building that now serves as a café and bed and breakfast. The elegant interior, with its wooden beams and stone fireplaces, had expansive windows. It was the backdrop for Jen’s perfect wedding morning bridal preparations. We were excited to capture these special moments. Which would later become treasured Fonthill Estate wedding photographs.
As Jen prepared to walk down the aisle, her loved ones surrounded her. Her maid of honour and mother were there to support and encourage her. The talented Louise from Timeless Beauty by Louise worked her magic. She expertly enhanced Jen’s natural beauty with flawless makeup. Meanwhile, Tracy Foord, the hairdresser, tended to the wedding hair styling of Jen’s mum and bridesmaid. Meanwhile, Nat from Nat’s Dreads & Locks had styled Jen’s stunning dreadlocks. It added a unique, personal touch to her wedding look.
Excitement in the Summer Heat
As the morning wore on, the atmosphere stayed relaxed and calm. The day’s heat was starting to make its presence known. The sun streamed in, casting a warm glow over everything. Laughter and chatter filled the air. Jen’s beautiful, slim-fit, A-line wedding dress from Brides of Southampton hung in the background. Its exquisite lace detailing reminded me of the excitement ahead.
The English Florist’s gorgeous floral bouquets added color and scent to the scene. Their pastel blooms and green leaves perfectly captured the essence of the countryside. As Jen took a moment to collect her thoughts and write her wedding vows, the sense of anticipation grew. It wasn’t long before it was time for her to slip into her stunning dress, with her mother on hand to help her into it. These intimate moments, captured on camera, would become cherished Fonthill Estate wedding photographs.

Getting Ready on The Fonthill Estate
Meanwhile, Murray joined Andy and the chaps preparing for the big day on the Fonthill estate. One of the advantages of choosing two wedding photographers. He found the more adventurous guests emerging from and setting up their tents in the camping field.
In the meadow by the lake, they set up a ceremony space. It had rows of chairs facing a wooden archway draped in flowers. A big thank you to Locate to Create and The English Florist for creating a otherworldly setting. The archway framed the view over the lake and to the woodlands beyond.
From his perch, Andy greeted the arriving guests at Quarry Wood lawn. It was a mowed plateau, decorated with low seating, umbrellas, and a stretch tent from DP Marquees for the evening’s activities. Even in the morning, the sun was belting hot and guests used either the shade of the woodland or tend for reprise from the heat.
The Perfect Wiltshire Wedding Venue
The Fonthill Estate Wedding Venue
The Fonthill Estate is one of the most gorgeous wedding venues we have visited in Wiltshire. We found it particularly beautiful in the summer when the sun bathes its rolling hills and lush gardens. This estate is described as luxurious, elegant, and exclusive. It’s the perfect spot for a fairytale summer wedding such as Jen & Andy’s. The estate’s architecture is a mix of traditional and modern styles, going back to the 18th century.
Fonthill Estate can host weddings of up to 150 guests for a formal dinner, and 200 for a casual reception. It is the perfect venue for summer weddings with guests enjoying the warm weather on the manicured lawns. Fonthill offers exclusive use of its jaw-dropping grounds. Which includes a large lake, walking trails, and beautiful gardens in full bloom. They provided a perfect backdrop for our wedding photos.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in the Sun
Abby Lynch (wedding planner extraordinaire from Elegance Unlimited) and her amazing team gave Andy and the guests the green light to settle into the sunny ceremony space. They could now descend the hill. There were many jokes and hilarity between the wedding party as they sheltered under paper parasols and enjoyed the views.
Everyone was then treated to the vision that was Jen’s bridesmaid sweeping through the tall meadow grass, shortly followed by Jen and her father. No one here was more excited than Andy, who had gone uncharacteristically quiet.
Tasty drinks and canapes from The Canape Kitchen quenched the group’s thirst and hunger. Many wandered the gorgeous lakeside, taking in the views and congratulating the glowing couple.
Wedding Couple Photos Around The Fonthill Estate Wedding Venue
By now the couple who when I first met them seemed a bit nervous having their photographs taken were relaxed and in their element. They strolled hand in hand, enjoying a stunning spot. They hugged and kissed, savoring their time together. Andy even coming out of his shell and pulling some silly poses.

Outdoor Wedding Breakfast With a View
The ‘posh picnic’ food from Three Little Figs was beyond anything we could have imagined at this Fonthill Estate wedding day. Each guest had a personalised ‘luxury grazing box.’ Luxury was the term to use. We enjoyed layer upon layer of mouth-watering delicacies. They filled us to bursting!

Fonthill Estate Wedding Evening Entertainments
With food gratefully consumed and speeches out of the way it was now time to relax before the Fonthill Estate wedding party started. Clouds of bubbles wafted around the field as the sun dipped behind some clouds and the festoon lighting turned on.
Inside the shelter of the stretch tent stood a three-tier masterpiece, crafted by the ever-amazing Kerry from Kerry’s Cakes. Atop the cake stood a bearded wizard and a dreadlocked fairy- who seemed to remind us of someone!
An Evening Of Fonthill Estate Wedding Dancing
By now Alan Marshall DJ was set up and ready to party – he had a progressive house set primed and ready for the evening ahead. Jen and Andy took to the dancefloor, and as they weren’t too keen on an elongated first dance were promptly joined by their enthusiastic guests.
As the sun set, guests could choose between two options. They could have merry chats over drinks, play part games Or, they could show off their dance moves.
