We Are Recommended Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding Photographers
We would be lying if we said that over the years working as the recommended Stockbridge Farm Barn wedding photographers we slowly fell in love with this unique wedding venue. For us it was love at first sight!
Firstly the barn itself is located in such a beautiful rural part of Dorset, on a small, charming farm. Secondly the structure of the barn itself is almost untouched, making it one of the ‘finest examples of a mediaeval barn’ in the UK. As barn wedding venues go it is certainly unique.
Stockbridge Farm Barn provides the perfect uncomplicated, rustic space for The Photo Lounge to be positioned for an evening reception. It provides a great setting for our backdrops and props and frames collections to stand out against. The all-in-one open-plan party space is well proportioned. It allows guests to enjoy the phototainment experience as participants and spectators from across the room.

A Visually Striking Countryside Barn Wedding Venue
Every time we work at Stockbridge Farm Barn we are still taken aback by the visual impact of the building. On a bright summers day the sheer wave of red ceramic tiles is set against the blue sky. The barn itself set amongst the luscious verdant landscape of rural Dorset. The gnarled and weathered wooden supports and panelling provide ‘toe curling’ good shapes, colours and textures. A Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding Review would not be complete without mentioning the amazing architecture of the barn itself. Inside the ancient beams are just as stunning, forcing enhanced perspective into wedding photographs.

Stockbridge Farm- The Perfect Barn Wedding Venue
Apart from the visuals Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding Venue has some unique features worth highlighting. The first, and probably most important of those is the owner Cherry Willoughby. We have never met a venue owner so very accommodating. She is on-site yet rarely seen, generous with her time and her property. In the past we have described her as one of the most professional and lovely people we have ever met!
Numbers wise the barn can accommodate between 50 and 180 wedding guests. With a little creativity in the layout it never feels too big or small. We know, we have shot weddings with both extremes.
Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding Venue is a blank canvas for brides and grooms. We have seen it fit in beautifully with a myriad of different themes and colour schemes. Weather permitting you can have an indoor or outdoor ceremony. The interior is yours to dress as you would like, adding to the personal feel of the weddings held there.
Stockbridge Barn is an exciting place that I have had the pleasure of working with regularly since it opened as a venue a few years ago. The interior is striking and timeless, but - whilst beautiful – can be a challenge flower-wise due to the high ceilings and low romantic lighting. The key is to keep colours light, ensure that displays are weighty for impact, and avoid ‘bitty’ or wispy arrangements here and there which can get lost and go un-noticed. Avoid fussy detail on the tables, and stick to simply neutral/pastels palettes.

A Beautiful Private Wedding Venue in Rural Dorset
For the ten minutes or so that we steal a bride and groom away to relax and have a couple of photographs together Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding Venue is perfect. Cherry is again generous, letting us use her grounds, her fields, the backdrops of barns and stone buildings and even her own beautiful flower garden. For any Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding venue review the private nature of the venue needs a mention. For those looking for exclusivity Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding Venue is about as private as it gets, no members of the public wondering around or looking in on a wedding here. The entire venue is yours for the day, wonderfully tucked away in the Dorset countryside and beautifully captured by Stockbridge Farm Barn wedding photographers.
What a stunning venue! The barn has a great space for entertainment and dancing and looked amazing.
The staff and team there are lovely too.
Can’t wait to go back.
Every wedding we’ve played there has felt like a proper party and we’ve always been treated wonderfully by the staff and the owner. It’s a very down-to-earth vibe, always beautifully decorated, and the room sounds great for live music, which is rare!
Wedding Catering at Stockbridge Farm Barn
So many venues (understandably) nowadays will only let a bride and groom use their ‘preferred suppliers’, especially when it comes to catering. Stockbridge Farm Barn Wedding Venue allows you to choose your own caterer, which is brilliant. This means that, food as a major part of the day can fit right in with the theme and feel of the wedding.
As Stockbridge Farm Barn wedding photographers we have seen an amazing wedding buffet created by the guests themselves, high tea, a gourmet fish and chip van, Hog Roasts, Caribbean BBQ, French and Italian food.
Ron and Andy run the bar at Stockbridge Farm Barn wedding venue. They are so much fun to work with, extremely helpful and always make sure that glasses are filled, even when we have the task of capturing 100 people downing baby Guinness!
