Getting Ready for Poole Guildhall Wedding Photography
After our last wedding in our own back garden of the Purbeck countryside, it was time to spread our wings across three counties. Beginning in Poole, Dorset
The day began with Leanne’s bridal preparations at her family home in Poole. The atmosphere was joyful and relaxed, with Leanne’s hair and makeup being styled in the well-lit, modern kitchen. Her hair was expertly styled by Emma from Eden Hair Studio.
Georgia from Beauty by Georgia applied the wedding makeup using natural light from the patio doors. The room filled with floral scent as flowers from The Flower House arrived. Leanne simply loved the stunning bouquets of white roses, baby’s breath, and white flowers.
Upstairs Leanne’s gorgeous sleeveless mermaid wedding dress from Sarah Jane Bridal hung glowing in a window. Leanne’s mother helped her into her dress, buttoning her in with an antique silver crochet hook.
Downstairs Leanne’s father and brother helping each other into their suits and ties. They had tears in their eyes when the saw her for the first time. Not surprisingly as she looked utterly stunning in her dress and veil holding her flowers ready to go.
Outside in the bright sunshine a cream VW Beetle from Dorset Dubhire waited to take Leanne and her father to the wedding ceremony.

A Unique Wedding Ceremony at Poole Guildhall
Murray found Jordan and the wedding party in their finest outfits entering the gorgeous Poole Guildhall. Inside the grand hall, Jordan warmly welcomed the arriving guests, chatting and hugging his family and friends. Guests were seated and Jordan took his place at the top of the aisle with a serious look on his face.
Leanne and her father arrived in style in a cream VW Beetle with the top down, basking in the bright sunlight.
The large door opened, sunlight steaming in surrounding the silhouette of Leanne and her father. Whoops and gasps echoed around the stately hall as Leanne’s father walked her down up the aisle. Upon seeing his bride for the first time on the day Jordan was now grinning from ear to ear.
The guests were treated to a heart-warming civil wedding ceremony, with Leanne and Jordan exchanging vows, rings, and kisses. This was a truly intimate and romantic moment, and our Poole Guildhall wedding photography captured every detail.
After signing the register they exited into the bright daylight as excitedly happy newlyweds. We quickly organised a confetti shower and group photographs on the steps and outside the guildhall. Leanne and Jordan returned to their VW wedding car for the first stage of the journey ahead.
a wedding day with a twist
Following Poole Guildhall Wedding Photography – A Wedding Across Three Counties
But this was no ordinary wedding day. Leanne and Jordan had planned a unique twist – a wedding across three counties. After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Axminster, Devon, where they stopped at a Starbucks . The staff were thrilled to have a bride and groom in their store, and the couple enjoyed a coffee break, indulging in their guilty pleasure. This was a fun and quirky moment, we were privileged to witness.
A Personal Touch: A Custom-Made Newspaper
The couple had also designed and printed a custom-made newspaper for their guests to enjoy during the journey. The paper included fun facts about the wedding destinations, as well as entertaining items such as car journey bingo and a word search. This was a thoughtful and personal touch.

An Intimate Wedding Celebration
Once settled into their rooms Leanne, Jordan, and their wedding guests enjoyed refreshments in the sunny gardens. They explored and relaxed in the beautiful house. With the sun still overhead we captured some more formal photographs. Then took the happy couple for a walk around the grounds for their couple photographs. Leanne and Jordan were in such a great mood and were genuinely happy to spend some much-needed time alone.
Back inside the house, Country Plate Catering was performing miracles with food. They filled the air with smells guaranteed to make everyone’s mouths water.
An intimate wedding breakfast was held around a large table surrounded by the newlyweds nearest and dearest. Three courses of sumptuous dishes had everyone merrily chatting and joking.
A Heartfelt Speech and a Sweet Celebration
With a break after the meal the family dog played with the wedding party in the low sun of the garden and speeches were called. We say speeches, it was actually a speech. As head of the family Leanne’s grandfather thanked everyone for their attendance. He wished the newlyweds all the best for their future life together. Leanne and Jordan then cut their wedding cake from Alexa’s Cakes and the guests dispersed to enjoy the rest of the evening.
