Sarah and Ryan’s Studland Bay Dorset wedding day saw us creating some stunning wedding photographs from a wedding ceremony at Studland’s ancient stone church. The sunny day included beautiful clifftop seaside views and a wedding marquee party at Studland Bay House down the road from our offices.
On the bright and hot summer’s morning, we made the very short journey from Swanage to Studland Bay House. Having shot weddings at this incredible coastal venue before it was sure to be a great Studland Bay Dorset Wedding.
Bridal Preparations At Studland Bay House In Dorset
We found Sarah and her bridal party calmly preparing for her big day in the bridal suite with stunning panoramic seaside views. Enchanted Beauty Bournemouth took care of the wedding make up using the light from the huge stone windows. A friend of Sarah’s Ashton Spicer was on hand to expertly style the girl’s wedding hair. Wedding bubbles were popped and drunk as the excitement and anticipation began to grow. Soon beautiful pastel wedding flowers arrived from Buds of Mave and the bridal party made their final preparations before leaving for St Nicolas’ church in Studland.
Groom Preparation Photographs At Knoll House Hotel
Meanwhile, Ryan had been getting ready with his best man Tommy down the road at Knoll House Hotel. Feeling the heat of the hot summer day, they spent some time out on the cooler balcony. Here they could take in the view, which would be the backdrop for the day. Making sure they stayed hydrated they enjoyed a quick drink before heading to the church.
Church Ceremony Photos From A Studland Bay Dorset Wedding
It wasn’t long before the wedding guests started to arrive and the church filled up. Ryan and his best man took their places but not before Tommy checked that he still had the wedding rings. Sarah arrived in a classic wedding car from RK Prestige, accompanied by her father and bridesmaid. Outside in the hot sunshine, she had a moment to gather herself before entering the church.
Inside the ancient stone building promises were made and rings exchanged in front of the couple’s nearest and dearest. Two readings were delivered by family members before Sarah and Ryan came down the aisle as happily married. Friends and family gathered outside to shower them with confetti as they made their way to the wedding car.
Seaside Garden Drinks Reception At Studland Bay Dorset Wedding
Wedding guests arrived first at Studland Bay House and enjoyed a drinks reception in the landscaped garden. The chilled soundtrack was provided by acoustic guitarist Paul Thorne. Sarah and Ryan arrived in their classic wedding car. It took them down to the seaside cliff edge where we took some relaxed couple photographs.
We walked back up to the house through the beautiful gardens and delivered them to their wedding drinks reception. Drinks and canapés were enjoyed in the sunshine which was now cooled with a sea breeze around the plants and flowers. After the guests had had a chance to congratulate the happy couple we quickly arranged some group photos in front of the house. Soon everyone was called into the marquee for the wedding breakfast.
Marquee Wedding Breakfast And Speeches Photographs
The happy couple entered the marquee to rapturous applause. After everyone had enjoyed the tasty wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches. First up was the father of the bride who had a couple of stories about his daughter growing up. Ryan followed, keeping it short and sweet whilst remembering to thank everyone. Bringing the speeches to a close was best man Tommy, who had many stories about his best mate. He chose to use vegetables as props which had most of the marquee in fits of laughter.
Before cutting the wedding cake supplied by Dream Cakes by Michelle there was still time to enjoy a few more drinks in the sunshine at this Studland Bay Dorset wedding. The Maida Vales sound checked while some of the guests got straight into the party vibe with Swit Swoo photo booth. Next, the wedding band called everyone into the marquee for the newlyweds first dance. It didn’t take long before they were joined by the rest of the guests, who danced the night away.
