Harmans Cross Village Hall Wedding Photographs of Bridal Preparations
We began this day of Harmans Cross Village Hall wedding photographs at Sarah’s parents’ house. Just down the road from our office, we thought our last wedding at Scaplens Court in Poole was near!
It was a hive of activity with hair being styled and makeup being applied. It was clear that lots of thought had been put into the details for this special day. Even Sarah’s shoes had been detailed with the words ‘Wifey for Lifey’ on the soles. Soon after arrived the wedding flowers arrived from April Flowers . The bright sunshine shone through the windows, lighting up the wedding morning activities. Once the bridesmaids had gotten into their dresses, it was time for the bride to follow suit.
Sarah descended the stairs with her bridesmaids. After being greeted by her proud father, there was time to enjoy a glass of bubbles. After the veil had been added, it was time to leave in the wedding car, which had already dropped off the bridesmaids.

A short distance across Swanage, I found the chaps at the Castleton Hotel. Once it was confirmed that everyone had the correct size trousers, they began to get wedding-ready. All wore matching blue suits, with the groomsmen in pink ties and the groom with a paler tie with a matching pocket square. Daniel had a little gift for his groomsmen, personalised glasses and something to go in said glasses. He also received a gift from his wife to be, a gold Tissot watch, the final piece to his wedding attire. They all headed across the road to the Crows Nest pub, where they enjoyed a quick drink and met other family and friends. Button holes were given out and pinned in place before a minibus arrived to transport everyone to St Mary Church in Swanage.

Guests gathered outside the church before being directed inside to take their places. First to arrive were the bridesmaids who waited out of the wind. Sarah arrived with her father in the off white convertible wedding car. With everyone now in place, she paused in the entrance way to the church to gather herself. Daniel checked his watch nervously as he waited.
The bridesmaids lead the way, followed by the bride, arm in arm with her father. Once at the front, he confirmed that he was here to give away her hand in marriage. In between two readings, the happy couple made their promises to each other and exchanged rings. After the paperwork was taken care of, the new Mr and Mrs made their way back down the aisle. Outside, the guests gathered armed with confetti, which showered down on them with a little rain as they came out.

The newlyweds were taken away in the wedding car while many of the guests took the Swanage Railway steam train to Harmans Cross, enjoying the Purbeck countryside on the way. Having arrived first, they had time to check out the decorated village hall before many of the guests had arrived. Details varied from a handmade wooden order of the day notice and signing panel to sweet-filled bags of wedding favours from the newlyweds, fantastic for Harmans Cross village hall wedding photographs.
They made their way out onto the bridge to welcome those guests who had arrived by steam train. Sarah, Daniel, and their guests were able to enjoy drinks from A&D Mobile Bar’s wooden horse box and canapés served by The Salt Pig. Musical entertainment was supplied by Alex Clifton, the Steel Pan Specialist.
Daniel’s best man took on the compere duties, introducing speeches from the father of the groom, the father of the bride, the mother of the bride, and the groom. After a short break between courses, Sarah’s maid of honour spoke before the best man had his turn.
Harmans Cross Village Hall wedding photographs were taken of the groups in the afternoon sun, followed by the bouquet being thrown and caught.

With the weather much improved, we stole Sarah and Daniel away and took them down to Swanage beach for some couple photos. This was the first chance they had to talk just to each other since becoming husband and wife. After capturing some shots at various points along Swanage sea front, we returned them to their guests.
After a few more group photos, it was time to cut the cake, shortly followed by the first dance. After almost completing their first dance ,they beckoned the wedding guests to join them and dance the night away.
