Scaplens Court Wedding Photographs
Scaplen’s Court is a beautifully unique Grade I listed wedding venue by Poole Quay. After visiting the ancient building and museum we were chomping at the bit to create some Scaplens Court wedding photographs.
We arrived early on the Saturday morning at Vicky’s mother’s house bright-eyed and bushy tailed to create some gorgeous Scaplens court wedding photographs.
Scaplens Court Wedding Photographs- Bridal Preparation
The girls were merrily busying themselves in the conservatory. The ever talented Jess from Model Makeovers (one of our recommended wedding suppliers) was taking advantage of the natural soft morning light with the wedding makeup. Vickys calm and collected manner was only rocked when reading a card from Dan. Whatever it said, tears were only just held back!
An eye for detail had been applied to the wedding preparations. Matching pajamas with lettering across the back labelled the girls’ wedding roles. A copy of the laser engraved wooden wedding invitation sat upon the mantle piece and wedding bunting hung from the ceiling.
A pair of timeless Ruby shoos, white wedding heels with white flower detail sat in pride of place. One of Vicky’s friends patiently styled wedding hair as the hot sun played peek a boo with the clouds.
With hair and makeup complete it was time for the dresses. The two gorgeous bridesmaids wore dusty green bridesmaids dresses with a lace sweetheart neck line.
Once in their dresses Vicky had a little gift of silver charms for them both. Then it was the her turn. She was stunning in her ivory strapless dress also with a sweetheart neckline. With veil applied she looked breathtaking.
Outside the sound of a classic engine announced the arrival of the classic MK 1 Ford escort RS2000 in white with blue graphics.
Scaplens Court Wedding Photographs- Groom Preparation
At Robert’s parent’s there were more wonderful wedding details on display. Wooden cufflinks and a wooden ring box (handmade by Rob) was entrusted to his best man. Once in all of his wedding attire he opened a gift from his wife-to-be, another very emotional moment.
Robert, his best man and family made their way to the Guildhall in Poole stopping just short at the Angel pub for pre-ceremony drinks and guest greeting.

After meeting with the registrar Robert made his way upstairs were he joined his guests to await the arrival of his bride.
After a few nervous moments for Robert his gorgeous bride arrived outside. Vicky was led in by the bridesmaids and then walked down the aisle to a standing ovation.
The heart-warming civil service took place in the main room with the sunlight bursting through the large windows.
From the balcony and stone steps outside the happy couple we showered with confetti. There was just time to get some group shots in front of the old building.
Scaplens Court Wedding Reception Photographs
The guests were invited to make the short walk to the reception venue while the wedding party took their time walking down the old streets in the Poole quay area.
At Scaplen’s Court the newlyweds and guests enjoyed a drinks reception with canapés supplied by Tickled Pig Events and a beer brewed especially for the wedding by Bournemouth Brewing Company.
A stone courtyard, Victorian kitchen and gorgeous secret garden were enjoyed by all.
The bridesmaids were busy capturing everyone on their Polaroid camera so that the pictures could be used in a signing book. Pictures were taken at various locations around the venue even venturing out to the walled garden.

At the top of the staircase a table plan map of Poole harbour and surrounding area led guests into the beautiful Upper Hall for the meal and speeches.
Scaplens Court Wedding Evening Reception Photographs
After the wedding speeches the guests were asked to explore other areas of the amazing wedding venue. As well as completing the photo signing book there were games to play in the playroom. Foosball, a vintage marble pinball game, a punch and Judy show as well as the many museum pieces had the guests merrily entertaining themselves.
Vicky enjoyed a Jägerbomb with some friends, while Robert was out in the garden with his groomsmen. Evening guests started to arrive.
Once the Upper hall was cleared of some of the tables the wedding band Decade were able to set up and sound check.
All the guests were rounded up from around the venue with the announcement that the first dance would follow the cutting of the cake.
