Warbrook House Wedding Photography by one thousand words
As a Warbrook House Wedding Photographer we took a long hard look at last weekend’s gloomy weather forecast. The car was full of discussion of using reflections and low lighting as we headed up to the gorgeous Warbrook House. You may remember Nicola and Mo as the happy engagement couple we shot at The Vyne in last year’s summer sun (see our wedding photography Facebook page). They had spent quite some time looking for the perfect Warbrook House wedding photographer.
Mo’s penchant for fast cars was evident throughout the day. We were not surprised to see a beautifully modified Escort Codsworth in pride of place in the Georgian Country house’s car park. Not a usual sight for a Warbrook House wedding photographer.
Warbrook House Wedding Bridal Preparation Photographs
I met Nicola in the Morning Room with her bridal party. The Morning room has the appearance of being specifically designed for wedding morning bridal preparations. Dresses and suits hung in the bright conservatory. Hair and makeup was styled using huge mirrors inside the building.
Nicola’s little flower girls and page-boy were excluding energy for the day ahead. They ran about the rooms as the adults calmly prepared themselves. The morning’s mood quickly changed from a serene relaxation to anxious energy and nerves.
I found I was relying of years of experience of wedding mornings to accurately photograph the contrasting transitions. With people coming and going throughout the morning Nicola remained a centre point amongst the organised chaos. She gradually became more and more beautiful as time passed.
Nerves were gently dispelled with a couple of glasses of champagne. Tearful visits from her closest friends and some upbeat music helped. The gorgeous pastel bouquets from Cherubs Floral Design arrived and before she knew it, Nicola was stepping into her wedding dress.
Nicola’s Father came to collect her. I could tell that emotions were running high. Both were fighting the tears back. Nicola looked stunning.

Meanwhile Murray had spent the morning with Mo and the groomsmen. He captured a completely different set of emotional moments.
Ensconced in ‘The Grange’, Warbrook Houses’ separate contemporary accommodation the chaps nervously busied themselves. Practising speeches and working out the specifics of tie knots was the order of the wedding morning. With an incredibly sharp tailored suit and a watch (as a morning present) there was an air of stylish class about Mo and his groomsmen.
The chaps walked the beautiful path through Warbrook House’s vast woodland. It reveals the impressive vista of house and lake. They then assumed their duties greeting guests into the ceremony room.

The wedding ceremony itself was held in the Stapelton James suite. Subtly lit and beautifully decorated for the occasion with matching pastel flowers, drapes and chandeliers.
Nicola was led down the aisle by her page-boy carrying a personalised sign for his ‘uncle mower’. The emotion in the room slowly crept off the top of the scale. As Nicola and Mo saw each other for the first time that morning there wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
Murray and I worked around the registrars who had positioned themselves in the optimum position for ceremony photographs to be taken from. As experienced wedding photographers we love using our creative skills to overcome these small challenges. Using our combined angles and available mirrors (to capture guest’s reactions) allowed us photograph the tear jerking ceremony beautifully. Combined with heart-felt readings and a wonderful ceremony the amount of love in the air was almost palpable.

There was a happy buzz to the wedding guests. They enjoyed drinks in the drawing-room overlooking the estate’s gardens. As the weather outside was now windy and cold we completed the group photographs in a record time. We have to give credit where it is due and I should sing the praises of Warbrook House Wedding Coordinators Andrew and Daniel. They were exceptionally well organised and ensured a smooth flow to the day’s activities. They even provided Nicola, Mo and ourselves with a golf cart buggy ride to the other end of the estate’s scenic lake where champagne was served!
Back inside the house draped clad backlit walls of the starlit dance floor had been set up by Innovents. The light blue room glowed in stark contrast to the dark orange warmth of the Stapleton Suite. Any Warbrook house wedding photographer must be blown away by the colours.

Whilst the guests absorbed their surroundings the Stapleton suite was swiftly turned around for wedding breakfast. The table plan highlighted the super car named tables.
Hilarious and tear inducing speeches left an emotional glow emanating from the top table. Wedding breakfast was served. Drinks, laughter, friendly people and tasty food made for the perfect combination.

Sarah from Sugar Sensations had created a stunning floral cake. Textures and patterning co-ordinating with Nicola’s gorgeous dress. As it was moved onto the dance floor the smaller guests and best man started to circle it like vultures!
After cutting their cake surrounded by their family and friends Nicola and Mo took to the dance floor for their first dance. As they swirled about in each other’s arms we could see a mixture of love, happiness and contentment on their faces. Nicola set the example and barely left the dance floor for the rest of the evening.
