Tithe Barn Wedding Venue Symondsbury
We absolutely love working at the Tithe Barn wedding venue Symondsbury. It’s not just the visuals of the stunning venue, and the wonderful wedding team its the type of creative brides that the venue attracts. Today’s couple, Louisa and Giles are super lovely. They had a huge bagful of incredibly unique ideas based. All around the flexibility offered by the Tithe Barn wedding venue Symondsbury, which you will see later.
A Little About The Tithe Barn
We have worked at several venues with the title The Tithe Barn. The one at Symmonsbury is uniquely different. By definition, a tithe barn was historically used by local farmers to store their rent and tithes for the church.
The beautifully restored 14th century stone walled barn in Symmondsbury offers a rustic feel with a twist of modern elegance. Inside it has a gallery area, stone flooring (underheated), exposed natural oak beams, and a wooden dance floor. Outside the idyllic gardens, flower meadows, woodland and courtyard provide huge scope for stunning wedding photography.
Unlike many rustic barn wedding venues in Dorset daylight is not a problem at the Tithe barn. This is thanks to it’s large roof windows and floor-to-ceiling glass entrances.
Back To The Wedding Day Documentary Photographs
Bridal Preparation In Bridport For A Tithe Barn Wedding
On the wedding morning, we arrived to a rather gloomy-looking Bridport under a dark cloud of rain. The contrast inside was amazing. As the bridal party was already bustling around with activities. Everyone was happily buzzing about the place and eager to help Louisa get ready for her special day.
The girls all wore matching silk dressing gowns in varying shades of pink. Olivia Sharpe, makeup artist extraordinaire worked her magic on the girls as champagne corks popped. Louisa’s grandmother took 5 minutes to get her feet up with the paper
Stunning pastel pink, yellow and blue wedding flower bouquets arrived from Queen Bee Flowers. The apartment shortly filled with floral scents
Upstairs in the bedroom, Louisa was helped into her wedding dress by the maid of honour. She looked elegantly beautiful in the stunning cream piece from Chameleon Bride. Especially with a matching pair of shoes from Bella Belle.
Outside the rain was unrelenting. But fortunately, a black London cab was on hand to whisk the bridal party away to the Tithe Barn wedding venue Symondsbury.
Groom Preparation In Symmonsdbury Village
Meanwhile, Giles and the groomsmen were busy themselves in Duck Street Cottage. They donned suits and ties, all under the watchful eyes of the family dog. An advantage of choosing Tithe Barn wedding venue Symondsbury is the availability of estate accommodation in the village.
Giles couldn’t have looked more thoughtful if he tried. Especially when giving himself a wet shave with a cutthroat razor on his wedding morning.
The dark clouds had made their way to the wedding venue but hadn’t dampened anyone’s spirits. Wedding guests and the groom’s party arrived, especially delighted to be in the warm shelter of this stunning barn.
A Civil Wedding Ceremony At The Tithe Barn Wedding Venue Symondsbury
With guests seated and ready the London cab arrived, dropping off the bridal party. The beautiful bridesmaids led Louisa and her father down the aisle to smiles and tears of joy.
The barn lets in so much natural light. We had no problems capturing the emotions of the civil wedding ceremony in front of a huge geometric flower sculpture. A first kiss and confetti shower later and we whipped through the group photographs inside the barn. unfortunately, it was still raining outside.
Drinks Reception Documentary Wedding Photographs
During a drinks reception guests got to spend some time with the happy couple. Much to the delight of many, they discovered the sweet table up on the balcony. After consulting our weather radar we decided to leave couple photographs until later.
Wedding Breakfast and Evening Photographs
Louisa and Giles were welcomed to their mouth-watering meal with a standing ovation. Thankfully Dorset Fine Dining are now the recommended caterers for the Tithe Barn wedding venue in Symondsbury. Wedding bubbles flew all over the room. After the main course, we had a 5-minute break in the rain to take them outside for a couple of couple shots.
Now the geometric theme (that was on their wedding invites) continued. The table name places and even decorative lights for the cake (by Kitchen Cakes by Tracey) included the design.
Singing Waiters Wedding Entertainment
Next came a surprise organised by Louisa’s mother – introducing the singing waiters. We had already organised how we would work our photography around their performance. Which was certainly delivered perfectly. The two waiters had the entire wedding party singing and dancing to some classic party tunes.
Once the sun set over the horizon and the lovely Iggy wedding DJ was ready to start the party proper. Louisa and Giles then took to the dancefloor for their first dance. Watched by family and friends they twirled about the wooden dancefloor. Everyone had tears in their eyes.
Next began the wild disco dancing, set against the wedding DJ’s colourful lights. We tempted Louisa and Giles into the (now dry gardens) for a 5-minute break in the fresh air. After couple photographs, the rest of the evening ramped up the energy levels on the dancefloor. We left the Tithe Barn wedding venue in Symondsbury glowing from the inside with the sounds of whooping, dancing guests under the starry Dorset sky.
