Parley Manor Wedding Photographs of Bridal Preparation
It has been a couple of busy years since we were last creating Parley Manor wedding photographs. So it was with great excitement we set off for Lizzie and Rob’s wedding day. It was a warm summer’s morning as we found Lizzie and her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents’ house in Wimborne. The bridal party wore matching floral dressing gowns as they all had hair and make-up styled in the morning light.
Upstairs hanging in the bed room was the wedding dress and three grey bridesmaids’ dresses. Sitting on the bed were Lizzies Charlotte Mills wedding shoes. These came complete with silver sixpence to bring her luck on this special day.
Down stairs hung in a window were yet more dresses. Two pink slightly smaller dresses for the two flower girls. Flowers arrived from Simply Flower and flower girls were in their dresses. Lizzie’s father was getting excited and couldn’t help throwing just a little bit of confetti during the morning preparations. Soon all the girls were in their dresses and wedding ready. The bridesmaids and flower girls were taken in the cream VW camper while Lizzie and her father arrive in the classic black and white wedding car.

Rob and his groomsmen had enjoyed a quick game of golf before arriving for his Parley Manor wedding photographs. First they checked on the final details for the day and enjoyed a quick drink.
The first rain shower of the day came as guests arrived. They were greeted and handed umbrellas as they made their way to the garden . The rain stopped just before the arrival of the bridal convoy. First to pull up outside the house was the VW camper from Dream Day Campers (one of our recommended Dorset wedding suppliers). Lizzie arrived with her father and were taken into the house to speak with the registrars. The bridesmaids and flower girls waited inside looking out into the garden. After having a moment to collect themselves they were reunited with Lizzie and prepared to walk across the lawn.
The flower girls and bridesmaids led the way followed by Lizzie and the father. He gave her hand in marriage to Rob and took his seat. A reading was given by a friend followed by the exchange of vows. Before the exchange of rings all guests were invited to open their sealed orders of service and join the bride and groom in singing a favourite Oasis song.
With rings exchanges the happy couple were married and were prompted to take their first kiss by the registrar. This was met with much applause. With the weather holding, the guests were able to enjoy a drinks reception in the sumptuous and colourful gardens. After gathering everyone on the lawn for a group photo the heavens again opened causing everyone to run for cover. The rain didn’t last long and once it passed we had time to take the newly weds for a walk around the grounds for their Parley Manor wedding photographs together.

Meanwhile the guests had been invited to take their places in the amazingly decorated garden marquee. From a bunting style seating plan to Polaroid name places. The marquee was full of little details such as a custom wedding golf tees, custom M&Ms with the date and the names and faces printed as wedding favours. Simply flower had been busy with LOVE letters and a big L and R in the garden as well as a beautiful flower arch.
With everyone in place the newly weds were welcomed into the marquee with much cheering and applause. Lizzie’s father kicked of the speeches with his comedy long version of his speech. He was followed by Rob who gave many words of thanks. The best Man finished off with what could have been the shortest best man speech ever until he revealed it was just a joke and the carried on with more words of thanks and some football jokes to Rob’s expense. The wedding breakfast supplied by Merlins catering was enjoyed and many of the children enjoyed the garden games set up outside on the lawn.
Parley Manor Wedding Photographs of Evening Entertainment
Last events of the day were the cutting of the cake supplied by Coast Cakes followed by first dance after which the happy couple were joined on the dance floor by most of the guests . While guests were entertained by the DJ and Photo booth from 217 events we stole away the newly weds away for some after dark shots with the now illuminated letters and personalised wedding balloons. This was the perfect opportunity for some unusual Parley Manor wedding photographs. Capturing the day on video alongside us was Simon Paris from Final Cut Films.
