Old Vicarage Wedding Venue in New Forest With Amy and Dan
We have been looking forward to Amy and Dan’s Old Vicarage wedding for a while now. Their choice of fine country house sits on 10 acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands. It has a bespoke wedding marquee. A gorgeous New Forest wedding venue.
Christchurch Harbour Hotel Bridal Preparation Photographs
We began the day at Christchurch Harbour Hotel. Amy, her bridesmaid, and her mother were getting ready. They were in high spirits but very relaxed. The wet weather outside did not dampen their mood. Under the watchful eye of Amy’s mother, the make-up artist and hairdresser worked their magic.
Maria from Simply Flower bounced into the room, excited about her latest floral creations. Amy had chosen beautiful summer wildflower bouquets with blues and pink with the yellows of sunflowers.
Amy’s bridesmaid wore a gorgeous navy blue bridesmaid dress. Her mother wore a navy floral number with a red jacket and black and red fascinator. Amy’s stunning white lace detailed trumpet wedding dress was taken from its hanger. Amy’s mother laced her into it. All three ladies looked stunning. They were now ready to depart for the Old Vicarage wedding.
Groom Preparation Photographs
I met Dan and his best man Nick at the Old Vicarage wedding venue on the edge of the New Forest. Both seemed very relaxed as they added some final touches to the wedding marquee. The guys from Simply Flower were busy raising the numerous lanterns that lined the ceiling of the marquee. After completing the (vital task) of putting the place names out the gents headed back to the room to get ready.
Both the groom and best man wore grey checked trousers with matching waistcoats and navy blue ties. Matt accessorized with a set of stag head cuff links and an inscribed silver pocket watch. The Old Vicarage wedding Orangery was decorated with ivy running along the old beams. Bunches of flowers were attached to chairs down the aisle. Dan and Nick had a few moments to enjoy a pre-wedding drink while they welcomed guests now arriving.
Old Vicarage Wedding Ceremony Photographs
With guests in place, Dan was starting to show a few nerves now and took his place at the front. Amy was escorted down the aisle by her father. The civil ceremony took place with sunbeams occasionally busting through the skylights. They made their promises to each other, exchanged rings, and became happily married. The newlyweds and guests enjoyed a drinks reception outside the Old Vicarage wedding venue, complete with lawn games.
We took advantage of the break in the weather to take the new Mr and Mrs for a walk around Old Vicarage wedding venue gardens. After group photographs, everyone made their way into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. Before the nervous groomsmen knew it, it was time for speeches. Amy’s brother read out some heart-felt words prepared by her father. Dan’s speech had the guests in laughter and tears followed the best man.
Old Vicarage Wedding Speeches And Evening Entertainment
After the speeches and another break in the weather, some of the guests ventured outside and used some of the Old Vicarage wedding lawn games.
The Bright Side Band was quick to set up and sound check before welcoming Amy & Dan for their first dance as a married couple. They danced in front of the huge LOVE letters that lit up the dance floor watched by their family and friends. They were promptly joined under the Old Vicarage wedding disco lights to the alternating sets with Russ from Quantum Disco.
A pause in the dancing allowed cutting of the wedding cake. This amazing naked Victoria sponge had been sitting in the corner of the marquee with various cupcakes supplied by Cakes by Sadie.
We left the happy couple dancing the night away with their guests to the sound of the wedding band.
The New Forest is such a uniquely beautiful part of the world, that we can’t wait to shoot our next New Forest Wedding.
