From Bluebell Woods To Hotel Miramar Photographs
,You may remember Luke and Liv. They had a stunning bluebell wood and Dorset countryside engagement photo shoot. We knew from their slightly naughty fun personalities that their Hotel Miramar wedding photographs would be a pleasure to create. What we didn’t anticipate was just how much love, fun and naughtiness it would involve!
Documentary Wedding Morning Photographs
On the wedding day (as with the engagement shoot) the sun shone down on the happy couple. It brought with it stunning contrast and bold colours, perfect for capturing the couple’s Hotel Miramar wedding photographs. In the lead up to the big day the excitement grew, both from Liv and Luke and here at one thousand words!
Bridal Preparation Coverage At The Family Home
We arrived at Liv’s fathers home in Poole on the morning of the wedding. Liv and her bridesmaids were busy preparing for the day ahead. The ever-lovely Millie from Millie’s Beauty Room was already busy working her magic in the conservatory. She styled the girls hair whilst her makeup accouterments covered every flat surface.
The first order of the day for Liv was to open a card and pressie from Luke. The sentimental note and pearl jewellery very nearly brought her to tears. Then her gorgeous pink wedding bouquets from Poppies Flowers arrived. The tears flowed. (I notice Mille too with tears in her eyes)
Bridal Preparations Finale
After eating, the bridesmaids put on their light sage dresses. They admired Liv’s light dusty pink wedding dress from Happily Ever After. It was adorned with silk flowers.
Wedding Transport With Style – From Poole To Bournemouth
Outside a classic VW Beetle and bay window van from Dorset Dub Hire waited in the bright sun. As the girls departed in style I knew Murray would be able to capture some stunning Hotel Miramar wedding photographs of them arriving in the sunshine.
Groom Preparation On The Wedding Morning
If the girls were fun and relaxed. Then, the boys took it up a notch, with a bit of naughtiness thrown in for good measure. To start the day the right way they headed out for a fry up, retuning to don their wedding gear. The morning was full of jokes and naughty shenanigans. Making for some hilarious preparation photographs. They tried each other’s wedding ties and helped Luke become a dapper gent.
From Jokers to Smart Gentlemen!
The chaps wore three-piece matching grey suits from Isobel’s Bridal & Groom, with sage green ties and pocket squares. Such details were the exact color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. They headed out in a convoy to check the wedding setup at The Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth. Next, they quickly fell into their roles of welcoming arriving guests.
Hotel Miramar Wedding Photographs Of An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
The Hotel Miramar is a lovely family-run Hotel overlooking Bournemouth Beach and the sea. You may remember we recently had a wail of a time shooting Rachel and Graham’s ocean-themed Miramar Hotel Wedding Photos at this stunning venue.
Today, the hotel and its beautiful grounds were in bright, hot sunlight. The sun made the wedding colours really stand out. Brian and the staff at Hotel Miramar had set up a stunning outdoor ceremony in the gardens. Flowers, palm trees, sea views, and the blue sky surrounded the special space. Custom wedding signage from Bespoke Chick practically glowed in the sunlight. The ‘always amazing’ Evertide played their beautiful melodies that echoed about the gardens, mixing with the happy chatter of waiting guests.
Multiple Perspectives On An Outdoor Seaside Wedding Ceremony In The Sun
I was able to tuck myself away close to the action in the shade of the wooden wedding structure. Meanwhile Murray was able to capture Hotel Miramar wedding photographs from the rear and sides of proceedings, adding greater angles and context to proceedings.
As Luke patiently waited at the top of the aisle liv and the girls arrived in their transport. To start, two of Luke’s groomsmen became flower men. They camply sprinkled pink confetti from their shiny pink fanny packs onto the red carpet.
Liv’s smiling bridesmaids led her and her father up the aisle. Guests were then treated to a stunning, bright outdoor wedding ceremony. Laughter and applause echoed throughout the grounds. The best men made it clear with their toy guns: they would not tolerate any objections to the union. Next, Liv and Luke exchanged vows and rings and sealed the deal with their first kiss. Walking back down the carpet under a shower of confetti as husband and wife.
A Bournemouth Hotel Wedding Drinks Reception Photos
The guests enjoyed tasty canapes and refreshing drinks in the summer sun. So, we quickly organised some formal group photographs allowing maximum time for relaxation. Liv and Luke took this chance to ‘test out’ a surprise. They had arranged it for the guests to enjoy later in the hotel’s private rear garden. After 10 minutes of enjoying jumping on the white bouncy castle from Castle Mania, they had worn themselves out!
Back outside, overlooking the sea, the groom’s party sparked up cigars. As they now looked ‘super cool’ they posed for more group photos.
Wedding Couple Photographs At The Hotel Miramar
The wedding guests probably would have enjoyed spending the rest of the day chatting and joking in the sun. But, the call for the wedding breakfast was sounded. As the guests disappeared inside we photographed Liv and Luke alone together
Wedding Breakfast Documentary Photographs
The wedding guests gave Liv and Luke a standing ovation as they entered the breakfast room. It was beautifully decorated with place cards from Paper Flore, handmade chocolate favours from Andrew’s and Brunt, and more gorgeous floral displays from Poppies Florist. The wedding then moved straight to speeches.
Liv’s father has almost everyone in tears with his short and heartfelt speech. Next, Luke’s best men brought forth the laughter with their coordinated address. finally, Luke finished proceedings with a mixture of sentiment, love, and hilarity.
After a 3-course meal fit for a king, Liv and Luke cut their stunning four-tier naked wedding cake from Saide Smith. It was time to get back outside as The Miramar staff turned the room around.
Hotel Miramar Wedding Photographs Of An Evening Reception
While the evening guests started to arrive, Liv and Luke took a well-deserved 10-minute break to chill in the bridal suite. As the solo holder of a sewing kit, I repaired her dress for the second time – making sure it was dance-resistant!
In the private rear garden the bar opened, and the guests discovered the bouncy castle. Evening guests arrived to join in the fun and it was great to see Adam from Unity Wedding DJ Services finalise his lighting set up and sound check.
The Wedding Dance Party Begins
From then on guests danced onto and off the dancefloor. Various groups danced wildly inside. Other guests enjoyed the photobooth (with its fancy dress), gardens, and bouncy castle outside with the setting sun.
A Break For Evening Wedding Couple Photographs
With low light in the sky we took the newlyweds off for a stroll down the road, stopping to ‘light paint’ the ferns and flowers on the hotel boundary. Further up the road, Murray and I had seen that the Bournemouth Red Arrows sculpture would probably work well with our flash guns. And boy did it.
Dancing The Night Away
Out in the cool evening air Liv and Luke told us that they appreciated the break. We returned them to their wedding party. Next, they would again join the dancefloor and lead the partiers in many routines.
