Highcliffe Castle Photographs from Emma and James’ Wedding
We love creating stunning Highcliffe Castle photographs. We first met Emma and James at the stunning location of Bucklers Hard for their engagement photo shoot. This loving couple was so relaxed in front of the camera. They had chosen such spectacular wedding venues as Highcliffe Castle and The Lord Bute. We couldn’t wait for their big day to come around.
Documentary Bridal Preparation Photographs
On the big day, the girls were exceptionally busy at Emma’s family home. Wedding shoes and the beautiful dark blue bridesmaids’ dresses had been perfectly arranged, ready for the day ahead.
Emma’s attention to detail could be found even in the dress hangers, with each wire shaped into one of the girl’s names; they were finished off with a pink floral flourish. Her gorgeous wedding dress hung over a window on its own. The bright sunlight then turned it translucent and accentuated the laced detail.
Champagne And Wedding Flowers On A Wedding Morning
Next, champagne flowed, and the excitement of the wedding morning preparations was almost tangible. Emma and her bridesmaids all had their hair and makeup expertly styled en masse
Much to everyone’s delight, the wedding bouquets were then delivered by Concept Flowers. Pink roses looked stunning set amongst white flowers, a perfect addition of colour for these Highcliffe Castle photographs.
Time then slipped seamlessly by, and before she knew it, Emma was putting on her veil and dress. She was aided by one bridesmaid as the others attentively watched. Emma’s fun-loving character shone through for the entire morning. Especially now, when in a typically sombre moment, she was in fits of laughter.
The father of the bride arrived to have his button-hole fitted and take his beloved to her wedding day. It is a wonderful moment when you witness tears in the eyes of a proud father upon seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.
After fitting their surprise presents of earrings and necklaces, the bridesmaids helped Emma add one final detail. A pin was placed into the dress folds, holding a silver penny, a blue heart stone, pearl earrings, and a silver horseshoe.
Finally, in what seemed like the blink of an eye, everyone was ready, and the classic Rolls-Royces from Premier Carriage were whisking them off into the bright sunshine to Highcliffe Castle. The wedding day would not have been complete without the classic cars in Emma & James’ Highcliffe Castle photographs.
Highcliffe Castle Groom Preparation Photographs
Meanwhile, James and the chaps were busy getting themselves ready at Emma and James’s flat. All of the groom’s party looked exceptionally dapper in their 3-piece dark blue suits. After a relatively calm breakfast, the wedding car arrived, and what a car it was. With an eye for not only detail but design and cool, James had chosen a 1965 first-generation V8 Ford Mustang for his journey to Highcliffe Castle.
Once on-site at the flower gardens, it was the perfect location for a few Highcliffe Castle photographs of the chaps with the car. During this time, guests arrived and were greeted in Highcliffe Castle’s beautiful gardens and treated to a live guitarist as they were seated in the Wintergarden.
Highcliffe Castle Wedding Ceremony Photographs
I have said before how much we love creating Highcliffe Castle wedding photographs. We rate it so highly as a wedding venue, and the Wintergarden is a photographer’s dream ceremony room. Classical stone design and large windows combined with the blue sashes and white flowers made for the perfect setting for James and Emma’s vows.
Emma and the bridal party arrived in style, and the ceremony was full of love (and laughter). When the sun rose high in the sky, we took a few group photographs outside the impressive carved stone castle. We also took the opportunity for a walk down to Highcliffe Beach with the happy couple.

No Highcliffe Castle photographs would be complete without featuring Highcliffe beach. Next, Emma and James had 10 minutes to themselves on the golden sands, looking out over the sea. Whilst their guests enjoyed the drinks reception at the Lord Bute Hotel, just down the road.
Lord Bute Wedding Reception Photos
Now, the Lord Bute is undeniably a fantastic wedding venue, not only a mixture of buildings. The floral courtyard, private wedding suite, interior design, and also the staff and service are exceptional. After shooting our last Lord Bute wedding photographs, we couldn’t wait to return.
Today, the tables were adorned with pink roses and favours (jam and chutney hand-made by Emma’s bridesmaid Becky). A Lego bride and groom stood beneath a miniature archway, and a tasty-looking 3-tier cake from Lucy’s Sugar Shack, not surprisingly, made everyone’s mouth water.
Emma and James next made a particularly grand entrance, arriving in the convertible Rolls-Royce. They made their way into The Lord Bute through a curtain of confetti and cheers. This private, intimate location provided a beautiful contrast to the day’s earlier Highcliffe Castle photographs.
Once settled into the main room, the happy couple had opted to have the speeches before the wedding breakfast to alleviate nerves before eating.
Lord Bute Wedding Breakfast and Speeches Photos
The speeches were especially filled with emotion and humour, causing tears and laughter all around. The two best men also did a wonderful job, aided by a pile of particularly embarrassing photographs.
After dinner, coffees were served back outside in the courtyard, and much to the excitement of many a guest, the sweet table was opened. Following the room change and Encore wedding band set up, Emma and James took to the dance floor for their first dance.
With the band playing highly addictive music, the dance floor was packed for most of the evening, and in keeping with a day full of love and laughter. The bridesmaids also snuck into the bridal suite and set up a petal love heart and candles on the wedding night bed.
While we left the sounds of music, dancing, and laughter drifted into the distance- the perfect day for such a wonderful couple.
