We have created Walton Castle wedding photographs a number of times in the past we were looking forward to revisiting this exclusive venue near Bristol for this Chocolate themed wedding.
Chocolate Themed Wedding Photographs- Morning Preparation
We arrived to find Rebbecca inside the castle with her bridesmaids having hair and make-up styled in the living room. It was clear from the start that this wedding would be a sweet chocolate themed wedding. On the doors to various room around the venue had chocolate themed names from Turkish Delight to Yorkie . The purple colour of the bridesmaids dresses and the groom and groomsmen ties was a distinctive Cadburys purple. The incredible wedding flowers from Kathryn Delve Florist even contained Cadbury’s wrappers!
The wedding cake from Choccywoccydoodah a simply amazing creation that stood about 4ft tall with chocolate rabbit topped with lollypops.
Continuing with the chocolate theme Rebbecca had decorated both her shoes and those of the bridesmaids.
Rebbecca wore a two piece wedding dress. The first part a skirt which was an off white colour decorated with red flower detail and of course cadbury purple flowers and lace. The second part was a basque top with purple lace detail and red and purple ribbons at the back.
Ben was getting ready in one of the turrets with his groomsmen. The chaps wore traditional wedding suits with Cadbury purple ties and red rose buttonholes. Ben wore an almost ‘Willy Wonker style’ top hat with Cadburys purple ribbon. Soon all the guest were in place and Ben stood front and center waiting for his wife to be.
Chocolate Themed Wedding Photographs- Outdoor Ceremony
As the sun beamed down upon the castle Rebbecca descended from the master bedroom lead by her flower girls and bridesmaids. Accompanied by her father she came out of the castle and up the Cadbury’s purple carpet. Rebbecca’s sister and MOH gave a short reading before the registrars completed the official parts of the ceremony.
Rebbecca’s mother then delivered a reading before Rebbecca and Ben made their very personal promises to one another. This caused tears of both joy and laughter among the guests.
The newlyweds shared a first kiss as a married couple before the guests gathered to shower them with confetti.
The drinks reception was held in the grounds of the castle supplied by Alterego while guests enjoyed various garden games. Wedding band Against All Odds supplied the soundtrack and Kieran Miller from Kierex Event Productions was on hand to ensure the day ran smoothly.
Chocolate Themed Wedding Breakfast and Speeches
We stole the happy couple away for a few moments to capture some images of just the two of them against the backdrop of the castle.
After returning them to their guests we headed for the turret used for the wedding breakfast. The whole room had been decorated with all thing chocolaty and sweet . Candy canes hung from the table centerpieces and giant Bon Bons hung from the ceiling.
The father of the bride kicked off the speeches followed by a few words from the step father of the bride. Ben then took center stage and gave thanks to everyone who had helped the day go perfectly. To conclude the speeches it was up to Ben’s brother, the best man. He didn’t disappoint and for the second time had may people in tears of joy and laughter.
Sweet Themed Wedding Evening Entertainment
Continuing with the chocolate themed wedding the guests were treated to freshly made candy floss and a chocolate fountain.
Rebbecca threw her bouquet before cutting the cake with her husband. Everyone then returned to the turret for the first dance. A Phil Collins track performed by Phil Collins tribute act Andrew James.
First Dance With Phil Collins
After the first dance he banged out all the Phil Collins hits and the dance floor filled up. The Wonka bar was busy and in between the music guests continued to play the garden game with varying degrees of success. To kick of the second set Rebbecca and her sister joined in and belted out the Collins classic Easy Lover.
With the sun setting on the chocolate themed wedding the extra lighting that Rebbecca had brought in really came into its own. Illuminated candy canes lead the way up to the door of the castle. Scattered around the garden colour changing up lighters shone up the stone walls. We couldn’t help having a play with these and capturing some amazing images for the bride and groom to enjoy.
