Chewton Glen Wedding Morning Photographs

You may remember Tiana and Matt’s New Forest engagement photo shoot near to Rhinefield house. Well for their wedding day they had chosen some other particularly stunning locations including Chewton Glen wedding venue.

I arrived on their sunny wedding morning at Chewton Glen wedding venue and drove down to their luxury tree houses. These beautiful wooden clad ‘get aways’ sit high among the trees in one of Chewton Glen’s luscious green valleys. The natural materials, soft warm colours and light, open spaces perfectly complimented the gorgeous panoramic view from the tree canopy.

High up in the tree house at Chewton Glen wedding preparations were underway. The hair stylist and makeup artist were using the floor to ceiling mirrors to expertly work their craft. Tiana’s family and bridesmaid were alternating between wedding preparations and enjoying their surroundings. Tiana’s nephew was in and out of the hot tub for most of the morning.

As the wedding morning progressed I used the mass of natural light, accessible angles and reflective surfaces to capture the mood and moments. I helped lace Tiana’s bridesmaids into their deep blue dresses. They, in turn helped Tiana into her stunning wedding gown. Against the backdrop of the tree house and the wooded valley at Chewton Glen wedding details were abundant

In these slightly ethereal surroundings I realised that Tiana now looked more like a beautiful princess in a fairy tale. Her choice of the Chewton Glen wedding morning was perfect. For some reason I couldn’t get the phrase “Tiana’s tiara” out of my head for the rest of the day!

Wonderful wedding flowers from Simply Flowers arrived. The whites, creams and blues coordinated beautifully with the wedding’s blue key colour scheme.

Daisy, Christchurch wedding cars’ hand built Branford Classic Landaulette arrived. It transported the girls from their secluded hideaway to the grandeur of Highcliffe Castle.

Meanwhile Matt and the chaps were super busy over at Burgate Manor Farm. Ties were adjusted, hair straightened and button holes pinned under the watchful eye of Matt’s grandmother.

After a last look at the speeches Matt and his best man just had enough time to finish off their table tennis game. Next they left for the wedding ceremony!

Highcliffe Castle Wedding Ceremony Photographs

The summer sun was now out in its full warming glory. The wedding pianist entertained the guests in the Wintergarden.

This gorgeous wedding venue had been beautifully dressed. Ivory chair covers with blue sashes and the ivory/ blue wedding flower mixed beautifully. Inside the classically grand space we were treated to a heart-warming ceremony. It was full of light and laughter with readings from family and friends. The now ecstatically happy newly weds walked back down the aisle. Guests supplied applauds and enjoyed their drinks reception in the sun baked gardens.

As the guests drank and joked in the sun we took a gentle stroll with Matt and Tiana. We walked down through the grounds for some beach wedding photographs.

On our return the Highcliffe Castle wedding party were to be found cooling themselves in the shade. The impressive 17th century castle’s walls sheltered them from the sun. Clearly enjoying their day they were called into wedding breakfast in the Great Hall.

Set against the backdrop of the carved stone walls and the 30ft high Stained Glass Jessie window the Great Hall was a remarkable setting for the wedding breakfast. Merlins Catering supplied a mouth-watering three course meal. After the wedding morning at Chewton Glen wedding venue we were feeling spoilt. The top table looked particularly regal during the hilarious wedding speeches. Cakes by Nikki had created a wonderful personalised wedding cake. It even included Tiana and Matt’s dogs!

First Dance Photographs at Highcliffe Castle

Back out in the landscaped gardens the wedding party enjoyed drinks with the coastal views. The DJ from Choice DJ had set up in the drawing-room. Tiana and Matt gracefully swept about the dance floor for their first dance. They were surrounded by curtains of fairy lights and their friends and family

We left the guests merrily alternating between dancing. They visited the irresistible sweet cart and recharging on the cool grass of the gardens.
