Recommended wedding photographers at Plush Manor
We love being the recommended Plush Manor wedding photographers.
Plush Manor is a stunning country house exclusive wedding venue hidden in the heart of the Dorset countryside.
The nine acres of wild and landscaped gardens are a Plush Manor wedding photographers dream: topiary, flint walls, flower beds, wild garlic, sculptures and views over the gorgeous Dorset countryside, Plush has it all.
Plush Manor’s sprawling grounds incorporate so many different areas it is perfect for couple shots in the summer sun or even winter sunsets. Plush Manor is a Dorset Wedding venue that is jaw dropping in all seasons. We are often finding wedding guests wondering about the secluded areas, champagne glass in hand, faces in awe.
What a beautiful venue, with its informal but stately feel, its the perfect location for those wishing to have a real Dorset experience. The light streams through the windows which makes my job an absolute dream! I love working there.
Wedding Accommodation at Plush Manor
The characterful manor house wedding venue itself offers accommodation for up to fourteen people. Each wonderful room of the house affords uniquely beautiful styling. There is even an indoor heated swimming pool!
Many a wedding morning we have photographed the buzz of wedding preparation in the huge open plan kitchen or the cosy book lined living room. The Brace of Pheasants (the Dorset Dining pub of the year 2017) is a two minute walk away from the Manor. It is no surprise then that we are at home photographing groom preparations in this 16th century thatched inn.

Plush Manor Wedding Venue Options
Other than a variety of beautiful locations for a wedding blessing Plush Manor offers wedding couples the option of two different registered locations for civil ceremonies.
The Folly is a gorgeous 17th century dove house. The long sweeping lawn allows brides a dramatic entrance to the foliage bordered pond area.
The Drawing Room is an elegant indoor wedding ceremony space for up to twenty guests overlooking the garden. The wooden French doors open onto the kitchen courtyard.
As recommended Plush Manor wedding photographers we have seen a variety of weddings at Plush. A wedding reception or wedding breakfast marquee works amazingly well on the main lawn as does a sailcloth tent in the rosemary garden.
Plush Manor is a quintessentially English country garden setting for your celebration, and it works well to echo this in your choice of flowers; herbaceous delphinium spires, billowing seas of hydrangea and blousy roses will all work well to create a romantic mid-summer look. Any colour scheme would work well, but the classic garden shades of pinks, mauves, lavenders, blues and ivories will particularly suit the setting. For a winter celebration, richer tones will work well with the architecture and will give a warmer feel. My preference for wedding breakfasts at Plush Manor is for long dining tables; they suit the chapel very well and give a lovely communal feel to the dining. Alternate tall and low table decorations to give an eclectic oldy-worldy feel, and mix in textures such as brass, copper or pottery to add quaintness

Photographing Plush Manor Wedding Venue as Wedding Photographers in Dorset
Over the years working as Plush Manor wedding photographers we have seen some particularly stunning yet very different weddings at this incredible venue. Like the venue itself our Plush Manor weddings have been very private, exclusive events that we unfortunately cannot show you the photographs from - the following we can!
We started as Plush Manor wedding photographers with one of the venue’s first weddings back in 2012 with Nicky and Craig’s vintage themed wedding in the hot Dorset summer sun. Since then we have seen a variety of spectacular weddings in all seasons and all weathers. Most recently we were proud to work as Plush Manor wedding Photographers for Helen and Christopher’s Christmas and gin themed wedding!

Catering at Plush Manor Wedding Venue
Unlike many other exclusive wedding venues Plush manor lets it’s wedding couples have free reign when it comes to catering.
As such we have seen (and tasted) some of the most mouth-watering and incredibly well presented treats for canapes and wedding breakfasts alike.
Plush Manor always feels like one of those ‘best kept secrets’ and is a joy to work at. It’s a truly original venue with so many possibilities, a dream for all wedding suppliers. It lends itself perfectly to either a formal dining experience or a more relaxed catering vibe.

Plush is such a unique venue, there’s the opportunity for a marquee where you can create your own one off environment that will never be replicated again and then the chance to party the night away in a deconsecrated church. It allows you to journey throughout the day and create a totally different vibe from day to night.

Plush Manor Church
For over 20 years Plush Manor and the church have hosted the famous Plush Festival, featuring a line-up of word-class musicians.
The 19th century deconsecrated church is simply gorgeous. The old stone building is surrounded by yew and cherry trees with a view across the sweeping hills of the Piddle valley. Inside the church makes a uniquely gorgeous wedding breakfast and evening reception venue.
A Wedding Day at Plush Manor
A countryside walk followed by a swim in the morning, preparation in a manor house and local inn, marrying in beautiful gardens followed by drinks reception in the summer sun overlooking the rolling Dorset hills. Catering service from the vestry, gin bottles chilling in the font, wedding speeches from the pulpit a band or DJ over the altar and roasting marshmallows on a fire outside the church are all possible at a Plush Manor wedding!
