Northcote House Wedding Photographs with Toni and Joseph
Sunningdale Park in Ascot is a breathtaking venue with delightful grade II listed Neo-Georgian mansion, Northcote House. We arrived to find Lauren from Concept Flowers merrily decorating the main staircase.
Toni, our bride was showing round videographers from KE wedding films (one of our recommended wedding suppliers) so we tagged along for the grand tour. The outstanding grandeur flowed from the huge stone staircase in the center of the building to the Sunningdale ceremony room and was perfect for Northcote House wedding Photographs. The impressiveness of the building was complemented by the 65 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodland in Autumnal colors. After a good walk round the house and gardens we headed inside to find Toni and the girls.
Northcote House Wedding Photographs of Bridal preparation
Upstairs was a hive of activity with the girls having hair and make up expertly styled by Kim from The Beauty Shed and Claire from Pro hairdressing. Toni’s gorgeous wedding dress hung in the room next door lit softly by the sunlight through the window.
The jokes, laughter and jovial mood flowed throughout the morning preparations, Toni’s laid back vibe eventually spreading to all in the room. Soon the girls were all in their dresses and couldn’t help themselves twirling in the mirror while drinking prosecco.
Northcote House Wedding Photographs of Groom Preparation
A short distance from the main house the gents were all getting ready. All of the groomsman had super hero accessories such as cuff links, socks and t-shirts. With these added to their wedding outfits of blue suits and pink ties they awaited their transport to the main venue. Soon enough the parks staff member arrived in the golf buggy to take them to Northcote House. Once there Joseph gave his groomsman the tour, vital instructions for the day and then enjoyed a pre wedding drink.

The Sunningdale Room was beautifully decorated. A floral arrangement sat atop the mantelpiece with flower petals scattered down the aisle. Gypsophila bunches fixed to the white covered chairs with pink silky bows led they eye up the aisle. Toni entered to a room full of smiles and even some tears from her husband to be. She helped by wiping said tears away!
The happy couple their promises to one another and returned back down the aisle as husband and wife. The new Mr and Mrs then headed upstairs while the guests made their way to the foot of the grand staircase. With ever one assembled Marcus the House Manager announced the wedding couple. They descended the stairs to rapturous applause. At the bottom guests young and old showered them with confetti while the amazing string trio provided the soundtrack. After getting a look at the amazing balloon sculpture filled kids play room created by Natasha from Airlegance balloons we headed outside.
Speeches at Northcote House Wedding
The soft, warm autumnal light was perfect for some quick group photographs. We took the opportunity to explore the landscaped cave and bright red Acer trees before heading back in to the warmth.
An eye for detail had been used when designing the wedding breakfast room. Elemental table names such as Fluorine, Platinum and Lithium were a tribute to Joseph the science teacher. Floral rings around silver candelabras completed the look. Joseph kicked off the speeches with his words of thanks singling out each of his superhero groomsmen before making them the butt of his jokes. Toni’s mother was next, with a few props she delivered a heart-felt speech all while imagining everyone in their underpants! The beautiful bridesmaids had the entire room laughing whilst the best man had Joseph reduced to groaning with his head in hands.
Wedding Evening Entertainment and Fireworks
The ‘wedding quiz’ results were read out and prizes awarded to much happy debate. While the kids enjoyed the delights of the play room the happy couple were joined by evening guests. The incredible four tier gold and pink wedding cake from Claire’s Cupcakery now stood on the dance floor. After shots of Jagermeister all the guests gathered for the cutting of the cake against the backdrop of the now glowing staircase.
Time (as it does at weddings) flew and it was time for the first dance. The newlyweds took their places at the center of the dance floor and 30 seconds into the track the plug was pulled. A look around the room showed faces of shock and wonder. However, this was a planned surprise for Toni. Joseph placed a chair at the center of the dance floor and sat a bemused Toni in it.
He then accompanied Frankie Rudd performing a rendition of ‘wonderful tonight’ by Eric Clapton. While playing he strut around his seated bride while the guests at the periphery cheered, clapped and sang along.
Next the festivities were taken up a gear and the guests danced away to Frankie Rudd and his band Social Affair. Yet another surprise lay in store for Toni as her mother joined the band to expertly play guitar and sing for her!
The wedding casino opened much to the delight of the older guests. The last event of the day was fireworks for the bride, groom and guests at the rear of the house courtesy of Star Fireworks. A spectacular finale for these spectacular Northcote House wedding photographs.
