Gemma & Jonny’s Italian Villa Wedding Venue Photographs
We knew that Gemma and Jonny’s wedding would be a fun one. Especially so as we love creating Italian Villa wedding venue photographs. After shooting our last wedding at The Italian Villa wedding venue and our meeting with Gemma and Jonny we couldn’t wait to get started.
Documentary Wedding Photographs of Bridal Preparation
First thing in the morning we arrived at the couple’s home with the bridesmaids. A very calm start to the day saw hair and make-up styled by the talented Laura Mackenzie and Tara Sanger. Gorgeous white and green bouquets from On The Wild Side Florist scented the living room air. The bridesmaids wore matching floral dressing gowns and Gemma sported a ‘Today is the day’ nightshirt.
Upstairs the wedding dress hung in the window illuminated by the daylight. The bride’s shoes were custom all white converse kicks with her new surname and the date of the wedding printed down the heal in gold. Gemma was helped into her gorgeous wedding dress from Anna Bridal. With final adjustments made the bridesmaids got into their own grey blue dresses. A close friend had offered their VW Bay camper van as transport to the Italian Villa Wedding Venue.
Documentary Wedding Photographs of Groom Preparation
Jonny had been getting ready at his parents’ house along with his brothers and best man. They all wore matching blue three piece suits with floral pattered ties and crisp white pocket squares.
Once they were all wedding ready they made the short journey to the Italian Villa at Compton Acres. At the Villa Jonny checked everything was in place and the music was correctly cued up from his Ipad. He then ordered himself a cup of tea which he enjoyed in the bar area. One of his groomsmen quickly got him a small beer in the way of Dutch courage.
After issuing instructions to the ushers he took his place upstairs to await the bridal party.
Italian Villa Wedding Venue Civil Ceremony and Drinks Reception
Gemma arrived escorted by her father. She was greeted by her bridesmaids who led her up to the Italian Villa wedding venue’s Medici Suite. After taking a moment to gather herself she was lead down the aisle by the bridesmaids and escorted by her father.
They both made promises to one another in a room full of smiles and a few tears were shed. The registrar announced that they were married and rapturous applause echoed around the room as the newly weds kissed for the first time.
The guests made their way to the Italian Villa wedding venue gardens where they were given confetti to shower the newly weds as they came down the stairs.
During the drinks reception guests enjoyed ice cream from Giggi Gelateria. With a break in the weather we took Gemma and Jonny into the Japanese garden to capture some shots of just the two of them. These stunning gardens are just one of the jaw dropping locations that the Italian Villa wedding venue has to offer.
Italian Villa Wedding Venue Speeches and Evening Entertainment
After the drinks reception guests made their way inside the Italian Villa wedding venue’s Verona Suite for the wedding breakfast. They were invited to find their place via a Polaroid picture style seating plan. Everyone in place and the newly weds were welcomed into the room with a standing ovation.
Speeches were delivered by the father of the bride followed by the groom and best man and to finish things off a few words from the head of the Muncer clan about certain family traits.
After the cutting of the amazing looking (and smelling) chocolate cake everyone was invited down stairs to the Siena Suite where the wedding band BB3 would be supplying the entertainment for the evening. The newly weds performed their first dance as husband and wife before the dance floor was invaded by guests keen to celebrate with the happy couple.
After much dancing and merriment the final act for the day was to provide the new Mr and Mrs with a sparkler guard of honour before they left for the evening. Such an eclectic mix of locations and events could only take place at The Italian Villa wedding venue!
