Harbour Heights Wedding Photographers Poole
For wedding photographers Poole is the perfect location to capture a wedding.. After meeting Tom and Catherine for their Sandbanks Beach engagement photographs we have been looking forward to their Harbour Heights wedding for a while.
Wedding Morning Bridal Preparation Photographs
With the morning’s forecast not looking so good I met Catherine and her bridesmaid at her parent’s house in Dorset. They were both in a fun-filled mood. Time flew by styling hair and applying make up with just enough time for a cup or two of champagne.
With a selection of three veils and a whole draw of different jewellery there were many decisions to be made for the day ahead.
As the rain clouds blew away Catherine’s stunning wedding flowers from Simply Flowers arrived. They were chosen to fit in with the burgundy theme beautifully. As did her bridesmaids dress. Before we knew it her wedding car arrived outside and with her father on her arm Catherine was ready to leave.

Meanwhile Tom and the chaps were busy readying themselves for the big day. Task number one was to organise the wedding music.
Task number two was to smarten up with wedding suits and button holes, a transformation that they conducted exactly to plan.
Of course there was time for a champagne or two with friends and family before departing for the church.
Wedding Photographers Poole Church Wedding Photographs
A light drizzle did little to dampen spirits and Catherine arrived at Crowe Hill Methodist Church to a wedding full of excited guests.
Tom and Catherine were a little worried that the church might have been a little small or dark for wedding photography. Fortunately we are more than used to working in such conditions. The church was in fact lovely. The small country building fit perfectly with their personal wedding day.
The service was perfectly suited to the happy couple. With a lovely reading from Catherine’s father and uplifting hymns chosen to fit the mood.
From the moment they had their first kiss Catherine could not look happier. She spent the entire rest of the day looking lie she would explode with excitement.
Thankfully the rain stayed away for the rest of the day, allowing us to capture a ‘confetti photograph’ and some pictures outside Sandbanks hotel with the stunning view across Poole Harbour.
Poole Harbour Wedding Photographs
The ten minutes we spent at the beach allowed the wedding guests to arrive at the Harbour Heights Hotel before the happy couple. As wedding photographers Poole we love working at this spectacular wedding venue. The wedding car looked completely at home with the hotel’s retro styling.
Harbour Heights Wedding Reception Photographs
Catherine and Tom’s burgundy theme ran throughout Harbour Heights Hotel; the cake, chair sashes flowers and marble filled vases. The vases turned out to be filled with coloured gel balls, much to the guests surprise. The hotel staff had done an amazing job of preparing the Heights Suite.
Everyone enjoyed a champagne reception with canapés on the sun terrace. A wedding photographers Poole review of a Harbour Heights wedding is never complete without mentioning the view across Poole Harbour.
The number of times we see the incredible panoramic it never fails to take my breath away. I love guests reactions the first time they step out onto the sun terrace.
With the sun shining and all of the guests having such a fun day we easily organised Tom and Catherine’s chosen group photographs.
Catherine and Tom’s family and friends had travelled from around all of the county and even as far as Canada, so hugs, kisses, jokes and drinks were shared around.
Harbour Heights Hotel Wedding Breakfast Photographs
The happy couple experienced a grand entrance into their wedding breakfast. Next Tom and Catherine enjoyed hilarious and heartfelt speeches followed by Harbour Heights’ award-winning food.
Harbour Heights Hotel Wedding Evening Reception
Back out in the low, warm evening light the wedding party further enjoyed the view. This time with cocktails and wine. Catherine threw her bouquet, much to the delight of her best friend from Canada. Tom even managed to take off her garter with his teeth and throw it to the baying chaps.
Resh from Party Dexx had expertly set up his equipment on the dance floor and announced the first dance. It was a beautiful moment. Catherine and Tom gently twirled about the dance floor with their closest friends and family looking on.
The ‘second dance’ saw Catherine’s father strut his stuff. From then on Resh worked the playlist perfectly, keeping the guests dancing the night away.
The sun set an amber fire over the countryside and sea outside. Tom and Catherine took a moment apart from their guests to enjoy the view together.
