Harbour Heights Hotel Wedding Bridal Preparation Photos
In Contrast to our last Harbour Heights wedding it was a grey and overcast morning at Sandbanks, Poole as we arrived for Dawn & Liton’s big day..
Tom found Dawn in the bridal suite styling her make up while her 1950’s retro style wedding dress hung in the window. While purple and yellow lily bouquets arrived from Simply Flower the sunlight attempted to break through the clouds. Dawn’s bridesmaids arrived and shared glasses of bubbles as they joined Dawn. Dawn’s brother was full of smiles as he saw his sister in her stunning dress for the first time. His two sons/ page boys looked incredibly dapper.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Liton’s best men and ushers busied themselves putting the finishing touches to the speech and checking the Harbour Heights Hotel wedding ceremony room. The Hytes suite was decked out in blue and white colour scheme complete with chair covers and sashes from Classic Chair Covers. Blue bunting and fairy lights hung from the ceiling. Liton’s best men and ushers all wore matching blue sleeveless wedding suits with Liton’s slightly darker.

Dawn was led down the aisle by her Matron of Honour, Page Boys and Bridesmaids before her brother gave her away. The grey weather outside it did not dampen the mood inside and the room was filled with smiles. Tears were wiped aisle and cheers followed the ceremony. Liton fist pumped the air as he and his new wife walked back down the aisle.
The newly weds and guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the bars. Some even braved the rain but took shelter under the umbrellas on the terrace as the ceremony room was turned around in record time. Talking of records the table names were songs chosen by the wedding couple and displayed on 6” Eps with Gypsophila center pieces.

The guests took there assigned places and it was time for the speeches.Dawn’s brother kicked things off with an animated speech with toasts to the bride and groom and bridesmaids. He raised a special toast to his and Dawn’s father who’s ashes had been scattered on Brownsea island, now visible through the clouds.
Litons emotional speech had the guests in floods of tears and was followed by his best men’s speech. They used two flat screen tvs positioned so that everybody could see. The slide show started with Liton as ‘The Fresh Prince of Sheffield’ which had the whole room in stitches and set the tone. We were also treated to Litons passport and a mock-up of a Mini me with Liton’s face. Hilarity ensued.
Harbour Heights Hotel Wedding Evening Reception
By the end of the speeches the sun had fought its way through the rain and clouds. The wedding party were able to enjoy the view with after dinner drinks. The happy couple popped into the bridal suite and waved down at their guests below on the terrace.
Richard from Night Fever Roadshow had set up and worked his DJ magic for the rest of the evening. Dawn and Liton took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Their guests soon joined for some serious shape throwing.
After quite a bit of dancing we let the newly weds relax. Finally we took down to the beach for some couple photos with the sun setting next Brownsea Island behind them.
