Groom preparation before Grand Hotel Wedding Photographs
I began the day in an unusual place for a post about Grand Hotel wedding photographs. Burnbake Campsite is a secluded woodland campsite on the Jurassic Coast between Swanage and Corfe Castle. Running the Scooby Crew Matt is no stranger to weddings, we recently worked with him at a Durlston Castle wedding in Swanage. Matt and his best men had spent the night in one of the woodland lodges after applying some finishing touches to the reception marquee from Camelot Marquees. After a quick look around the site I headed to Swanage were I would meet them for this Grand Hotel wedding.
Bridal preparation before Grand Hotel Wedding Photographs
Meanwhile Tom found the girls at Innovation Hair and Beauty Salon in Swanage. All three bridesmaids and the bride were having hair styled while sipping on bubbles from personalized champagne flutes. With hair all looking fabulous they made the short journey up the street to Rivendell the B&B where they had all stayed the night before. Charlie Trim Floristry had delivered a delightful array of wedding bouquets. A white stretched limo waited outside to transport the girls for the next stage of these Grand Hotel Wedding photographs.
Grand Hotel Wedding Photographs of Civil Ceremony by the Sea
The civil wedding ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking Swanage bay. The guests were shaded from the bright sun with a stretch tent. The groom and best men greeted arriving guests and enjoyed the spectacular view out across the bay.
With the groomsmen and guests assembled it was time for the bridal party to make their entrance. They made their way across the lawns, first the bridesmaids followed by Julia and her father. In the bright sunshine vows and promises were made and they became husband and wife. After the Grand Hotel wedding ceremony we took bridal party down to the beach below.
Burnbake Marquee Wedding Reception after Grand Hotel Wedding Photographs
After returning from the beach we headed for Burnbake campsite. In the wooded field stood the decorated wedding marquee. Outside stood a handmade table plan and rustic fire pits with wooden furniture. Such a beautiful location for a countryside wedding reception.
Against the woodland stood the horsebox bar from Country Foods Kitchen who would also be providing the 3 course wedding breakfast. Stephen Simmons wedding magician then entertained guests, whoops and laughter could be heard across the woodlands.
After the meal it was time for the hilarious and heart warming wedding speeches. Matt went first, followed by his four best men and finally the chief bridesmaid.
The sun set outside while the wedding band Electric Eden prepared for their performance and the woods were wonderfully illuminated. Powerful coloured up-lighters from VLT UK were positioned around the trees highlighting the texture of the trunks and foliage.
After taking in some fresh air the newly-weds returned to cut the cake followed by first dance. The amount of smoke produced by the smoke machines was only matched by the number of different coloured lights throughout the marquee.
The happy couple’s dance soon turned into a choreographed flash mob involving many other members of the wedding party!
After this spectacle the three piece band quickly had everyone throwing all kinds of serious dance moves. Meanwhile outside the festoon lights, glowing fire pits and iridescent tree line painted a calmer picture.
