Dorset Home Wedding Photos in Martinstown with Hannah & Nick
What can I say about Hannah and Nicks wedding and their Dorset home wedding photographs? As Dorset wedding photographers we initially meet clients and go through their wishes for their big day. It is tempting to build an almost dream like image of the wedding.
Hannah and Nick had planned to have Dorset home wedding photographs with a countryside theme. With flags, bunting, mixed flowers, views of the Dorset countryside etc. Through such creative vision, hard work and organisation exceeded all of our expectations.
A Wedding Venue at the Family Home
Arriving at Hannah’s Dorset home on the wedding morning I was anticipating the usual hectic whirl of wedding morning preparations, however everything seemed well prepared, ready to go and calm.
A huge wedding marquee, beautifully adorned with wicker love hearts, bunting and multi coloured lanterns sat above the garden. A bar and sound system surrounded the dance floor. Circular tables were decorated with an assortment of flowers, place tags, wedding rock and chalk board names. A serious amount of thought had gone into the details for the Dorset home wedding photographs.
Documentary Bridal Preparation Photographs
Hannah and her family were in such a jovial relaxed mood that the morning flew by and before I knew it Hannah had put her dress on and her tiny bridesmaids and page-boy were ready to head to the church.
Dorset Police Tractor Wedding Transport
It has to be the first (and probably only) wedding where the answer to our question ‘how are you getting to the church?’ was “A police tractor will be pulling a trailer with all of the guests and the bride to the church!”.
Meanwhile Murray had met the chaps as they put the final touches to their buttonholes in the local pub. Nick seemed quite relaxed if not a little excited about the Dorset home wedding day ahead.
Dorset Church Wedding Ceremony Photographs After a lovely wedding ceremony with readings from family and friends we quickly organised a few group wedding photographs. The still beaming couple left the church into the bright sunshine through a shower of confetti.
Wedding Drinks Reception Photographs at Dorset Home
Back at Hannah’s Dorset home wedding venue the guests were greeted with a drinks reception. They gathered in the beautiful garden with stunning panoramic views over the Dorset countryside. Straw bails, sun shelters and a swing chair were surrounded by bright flowers, bunting and hand-made chalk signs.
The younger (and some older) guests merrily played on the trampoline, space hoppers and wooden castle. The rest enjoyed the sunshine, drinks and each others company in the photo-booth.
The smell coming from the catering tent was impossible to capture in the Dorset home wedding photographs. It had almost become too much to bear just as the bell rang for the wedding breakfast. The bell, by the way was none other than the Duke family bell of Duke auctioneer’s fame!
Marquee Wedding Breakfast Photographs
After some heart warming, love filled and embarrassing speeches the sun started to dip and the music started to play. The drinks flowed and the wedding guests started to demonstrate their finest dance moves.
Documentary Wedding Evening Photographs
Next came the exceptional wedding band Soul Party for the first dance. As experienced wedding photographers Dorset we’ve seen a lot of wedding bands in our time These guys were good, really good. Next the best man joined in for the rap from ‘Vanilla ICE’s “Ice Ice baby”- not your typical wedding day!
Ordinarily you would think that would be the end of the Dorset home wedding photography coverage for us, but no. Hannah and Nick had a few more surprises up their sleeves. A hog roast, wood fire and masses of fireworks. A fantastic day for a fantastic couple!
We love our jobs as wedding photographers in Dorset. Weddings like Hannah & Nicks Dorset home wedding day make our lives all the more special.
