Dorset Garden Wedding Bridal Preparation Photographs
We began this day of Dorset garden wedding photographs at The Landmark Trust’s stunning Woodsford castle, just down the road from Tom’s parents’ house. Here we found Farrah and her bridesmaids and the familiar faces of Chloe and Jonny whose Lulworth Castle wedding we shot back in 2016. The perfect location to take advantage of our wedding photography service without time limits. All was calm and relaxed.
After some breakfast one by one hair and make-up was styled. The flowers for the day had been provided by friend Samantha Gearing . They looked amazing from the huge bridal bouquet down to the groomsmen’s buttonholes.

Meanwhile, just down the road preparations for the wedding ceremony and reception were in full swing. Chairs arranged on the lawn and bunting hanging from the hedges. At the rear of the garden was the wedding breakfast marquee containing the tables, dance floor and Bar from South West Marquees.
Tom busied himself, checking that everything was in place. With jobs delegated to groomsmen and other family members tom readied himself. He attentively checked on the wedding campers at the other end of the garden.
One of the groomsmen even set up ‘shop’ on car park duties armed with an umbrella, camping chair and beer! Tom joined the rest of his groomsmen in the conservatory to distribute and tie the wedding ties. With another job ticked off the list there was time for a toast before heading out to greet his wedding guests.

Guests took their places and (hidden by the hedge) bridesmaids were the first to arrive. They were greeted by groomsmen who would escort them down the aisle. Farrah arrived with her mother who had the honour of walking her down the aisle.
A close friend, who had the celebrant duties for the day called for the guests to rise for the entrance of the bridal party. After the bridesmaids and groomsmen had all taken their seat Farrah and her mother came down the garden aisle together. Farrah looked amazing in her Karen Reilly wedding dress and was beaming from ear to ear.
Farrah and Tom made their promises to one another and exchanged rings. After readings from family members they were married. They joined the guests in the garden for the drinks reception while canapés were served.
Dorset Garden Wedding Speeches and Evening Entertainment
Confetti was thrown and guests posed for pictures with the newly weds before everyone was invited to take their places in the marquee.
The speeches were delivered in-between courses. After lots of words of thanks, cheers and toasts everyone gathered in anticipation for the first dance. The happy couple had the dance floor to themselves for a short while before being joined by most of their guests.
Once the sun had set and the stars were out everyone gathered on the lawn at the back of the house for a fireworks display by Anytime Fireworks. Finally everyone headed back to the marquee to dance the rest of the night away.
