Countryside Engagement Photographs in The New Forest
Tom met Phil and Fern at the interestingly named Fighting Cocks pub in the heart of the New Forest for their countryside engagement photo shoot. Being that they didn’t live far and regularly walk in the area, they all went for a walk. Not forgetting the star of the show ‘Nemo’, the engaged couple’s very excitable friendly dog, who also came for the walk and joined in some of the countryside engagement couples photo shoot.
This fun-loving happy couple where perfect for a bit of experimental photography like ‘clone the bride’, so with Phil standing still, Fern made some shapes around the field. Even Nemo got involved to create some natural timeless photography.
Phil is an orthopaedic veterinary surgeon and Fern is a veterinary nurse, so it will come as no surprise that this engagement couple met at work. They both work at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, where Tom’s dog Molly has recently visited for some specialist treatment and is now on the mend. This meant that, on Tom’s next visit with Molly, he was able to capture the two at work with Nemo.
At the engagement couple’s countryside farmhouse, Tom was able to find out some more details about their big day. Though not before Phil showed off his vast array of homemade wines. He has even being brewing sloe gin for the special day from sloes that grow at the bottom of their countryside garden! One of the most spectacular venues we have the pleasure of shooting at is the grand Rhinefield House, and we are excited that this couple have chosen it as their wedding venue in the New Forest. With a massive amount of flowers being organised by Linda who runs “Exclusively Weddings”, the lady who also dresses Rhinefield House. They are having a ‘cottage garden theme’ with watering can table decanters, a lot of moss, ivy and spring flowers. The bridesmaid dresses are to be a cornflower blue and are being made by a dress-maker in Ringwood called Frances “Calm Amongst The Chaos”.
With some interesting twists like a wedding cake made of soap, yes you heard right, this sounds like a wedding photographers dream. Hopefully the guests will not be eating it with coffee! The company who make this interesting cake are called “The Yorkshire Soap Company”. Based in Yorkshire.
We are also looking forwards to seeing the band who are a jazz style band called “The Blue Mojitos”. They are also having a sting trio “Abbey Strings”, who will be playing during the bridal entrance, our exit and during the drink reception. And not forgetting “Buttons” who will be on hand to entertain all the kids.
