Bournemouth Beach Wedding Photographs in the Sun
We have been getting excited about and watching the weather forecast for Paul and Marianne’s Bournemouth Beach wedding for a few weeks now. What a beautiful sunny wedding day they had!

On Saturday we set out across the Sandbanks ferry in glorious sunshine. We popped down to the beach to see the wonderful setup provided by Beach Weddings Bournemouth wedding stylists.
The Marriot Hotel, Bournemouth Wedding Preparations
We headed up to The Marriott Hotel , Bournemouth to find Marianne ensconced in her room.
Surrounded with the stunning floral works of Concept Flowers, Marianne and the girls were busily preparing for the day. Hair was dressed and makeup expertly applied.
The single light source, a huge window looked out across Bournemouth beach and the sea. This directionality made for some lovely side lit images.
Marianne had a wonderfully relaxed yet practical approach to her wedding day. Being a teacher she was busy creating display fans and pom-poms, writing out the ‘spin the wheel’ and even found time to start decorating Harry’s bar for the evening reception!
With her friends and family buzzing about her Marianne was the picture of calm. As the morning progressed (and as the champagne was drunk) she transformed from creative guide to stunning bride.
Stepping out into the sunshine, down the steps of the Marriott to the cliff lift I could see Marianne’s contagious happiness spreading. It was hard not to smile with such a stunning view and excited company.

Meanwhile Murray joined Paul and the chaps for their Bournemouth Beach wedding morning activities.
They donned some fantastic Lego cufflinks. Then spent some time on Youtube discovering how to pin their button holes. Fortunately the Best Man, Paul knew his way around a Winsor knot. After a swift drink at the bar they headed off to the cliff lift down to the beach.
Bournemouth Beach weddings and Coastal Creatives had done an amazing job in the wedding marquee on the beach. The bright space was decorated with yellow flowers and fans. White stones formed the aisle, wood and shell love hearts hung in the sea breeze.
The wooden wedding hut itself was adorned with shells, driftwood, boats and love hearts.
Outside on the beach the Best Man relaxed in a deck chair. Paul danced with his gran and greeted the arriving guests. The groomsmen set the wedding rings in a box with sand from the beach.
Bournemouth Beach Wedding Ceremony Photographs
Once the guests were seated with a view of the beach Marianne, the flower girls and the bridesmaids arrived. The registrar announced them in. Our beautiful bride was walked down the aisle by her father to the heavenly sounds of The Abraxas Ensemble string quartet.
The wedding guests were treated to a wonderfully uplifting wedding ceremony with sentimental readings from family. We were able to unobtrusively cover the proceedings from two different angles. The register was signed in the wedding hut and the happy couple left into the bright sun of the beach.

Champagne was served and the guests were treated to Purbeck ice cream by the sea. The the marquee was turned around. Marianne and Paul even supplied extra-large Jenga and connect four for the children to play.
Bournemouth Beach Wedding Breakfast Photos
Wedding speeches had the guests in stitches and ended with the Vulcan toast of “live long and prosper”!
What meal is best to have at a beach wedding? Fish and chips of course, from Fish Face Catering which, were perfect.
Over the sea a smoke love heart from the Swanage Carnival aerobatics display could just be seen above the horizon.

Back out on the sand we had time for some group photographs. Murray even swam with the waterproof camera housing for the ‘couple photographs’. Some of the guests got wet too, feet!
Bournemouth Beach Balloon Release
With two huge white and hundreds of silver balloons from Bournemouth Balloons Marianne and Paul led a visually stunning Balloon release. One of the many joys of using two photographers meant that we could cover this event from two angles, Murray above on the cliff and myself down on the beach.
Marriot Hotel Bournemouth Wedding Reception Photos
We headed back up the cliff for the wedding reception at the Marriott Hotel Bournemouth. Harry’s bar was now dressed with yellow flowers, fans, pom poms and candles. We noticed a table of wedding favours – home made scotch bonnet sauce! Hot!
In the darkened background of the room stood a gorgeous handmade rusted metal love sign with light bulbs.
The happy couple entered the room to a standing round of applause. The wedding cake stood proud by the bar complete with robot cake toppers. A first for us, Marianne and Paul cut the cake with a real Samurai sword!
The happy couple spun about the dance floor under the colourful disco lighting for their first dance, surrounded by their friends and family.
The rest of the evening was spent spinning the wheel of fortune and pulling some serious shapes on the dance floor. A fun-filled finish to a fun-filled day.
