As another year of beautiful weddings has come to a close, we’ve spent some time looking back at our best wedding photographs of 2019.
Tom and I have witnessed some truly amazing and emotional moments over the last twelve months. We’ve been lucky enough to capture them as a team of two documentary wedding photographers. Not forgetting to have some great laughs along the way.
2019 was a year of meeting lovely people at stunning wedding venues. We have continued to improve our service, helping our clients create evocative memories for years to come.
2019 Wedding Moments
See how many of these special moments you can spot…
A groom jumping a pond, confetti cannons, a seated confetti shot, a glowing silent disco and champong. A bride and groom on a pedalo, a military band at an Italian Villa, a Polaroid seating plan and a Lego bride and groom. A Fireman guard of honour, a fire engine wedding escort, the groom’s shocked face during best man’s speech and a marquee on a hill (they said it couldn’t be done).
Also lookout for a drag act, an e-trike rickshaw, a dragon dance, bell-ringing groomsmen. The brass monkeys band, a zillion fairy lights, dinosaurs in the flowers. A singing groom, custom sculptural bridal bouquet and a singing waiter.
Once again we have worked at many incredible wedding venues. Some new and some we have been before. Likewise, we have also worked with many new suppliers and old wedding friends. We love what we do and particularly who we do it with. Last years venues included Athelhampton House, The Kings Arms Hotel,Sopley Lake, the Italian Villa, Tithe barn ,Isle of Purbeck Golf Club,Studland Bay House,Sherborne Castle,Kingston Country Courtyard,Durlston Castle and Smedmore House.

Wedding Morning Preparation Photographs From 2019
We usually start the day in awe of the hair and make-up teams. This year we have worked with Amazing Face, Cat Mutter wedding make up, Enchanted Beauty Bournemouth, Peachey Glam , Yasmin Taylor Hair Design and Jenny D amongst others. They work their magic on wedding mornings while we capture both bride and groom as the day starts to unfold.
Amongst the details, the colours, aesthetics and smell of wedding flowers are a big part of the wedding day. In 2019 we photographed some amazing creations from the likes of West Dorset Wedding Flowers, Simply Flower, Willow and the Wisp, Martha and the Meadow, Buds of Mave, Kabloom Florist, Concept Flowers and With Love Florists.

Wedding Evening Photographs From 2019
For when the party gets started it’s over to the DJs and bands. When looking back at our best wedding photographs of 2019 we realised they have all been wonderfully varied. We even shuffled about to our first silent disco, which was very fun to photograph! Party starters include Iggy :: Wedding DJ, Party Dexx, Pegasus Disco, Ruby and the Rhythms, Brass Junkies, The Defectors, The Sparks and The Viscounts.
Some of the wedding extras this year were supplied by Swit Swoo, Bloc photo booths, Wedding Magician Dominic Reyes, Perfectly Pretty Wedding and Zoe Barker Design. A big shout out to Lewis Hutton, Singing Waiter who did not fail to entertain at Kim and Sam’s New Forest wedding. He certainly provided us with a good amount of material when choosing our best wedding photographs of 2019. We also had the pleasure of working again with documentary videographers Zach and Grace. We look forward to seeing them again in 2020.
