About the one thousand words photographers
Tom Wishart and Katie Ronchetti met whilst training in Black and White photography at City College Coventry, at the top of their class every year they decided to combine their innovative ideas and skills, forming one thousand words photography
Katie is a trained artist who developed her passion for photography whilst incorporating photographic techniques into her exhibitions. As a mother of 3 children she realised the potential for 'low hassle' family photography in the home or favourite location. She perfected her skills taking beautiful photographs created in the child's natural environment.
Tom is also a trained artist and psychologist, he has excelled in reportage and travel photography since his teens and exhibits locally. Tom was inspired by Katie's contemporary techniques and incorporating his knowledge of digital imaging realised a way to make it available to all.
They have over 15 years of professional photography experience, working in towns and cities all over the world with hundreds of different people.
Equipment
Katie and Tom both use top end Canon digital SLRs, known by professionals for their extremely high quality and reliability. one thousand words use one of the best professional printers in the UK as well as sourcing many materials from high quality local and international suppliers. In the office strive to keep their carbon footprint to a minimum and run their vehicles on carbon neutral bio-fuels.
Katie and Toms vision of affordable family photography was realised after 4 months of research with mothers and children in Coventry and Warwickshire. Taking photographs in the relaxed environment of the families home or favourite location Tom and Katie produce beautiful, natural photographs of children and their families.
